Wisconsin Nathan Shock Center (WiNSC)

CGSI is excited to partner with the Wisconsin Nathan Shock Center of Excellence in aging (WiNSC).  WiNSC is one of eight centers funded by the National Institute on Aging (NIA), part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH).  A goal of the center is to promote, coordinate, and enhance research in the basic biology of aging with a specific emphasis on metabolism and translation, and to efficiently and rapidly advance cutting-edge research nationally by developing novel research capabilities and leveraging existing outstanding resources at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

CGSI, along with the UW Biotech Center and Data Science Institute, participates in the Discovery and Integration Core that provides omic technologies, novel tools, and data science analysis to biology-of-aging researchers nationally.
