In its constant efforts to strengthen the genomics community on campus and enhance the research and training environment, the Center for Genomic Science Innovation hosted its first annual “CGSI Genomics Retreat” on June 28, 2022. The event took place in the Discovery Center forum and included 14 short talks from CGSI members and affiliate faculty, 29 student and postdoc posters, and ample time for mingling and discussions.
Topics of discussion included opportunities for UW genomics, requests for collaboration (see also the Collaborative Call in this G&T issue), and research highlights. The event, which included PIs, students, postdocs, and staff, was a great opportunity for networking around collaborative ideas.
